No, the university has a no smoking policy throughout its buildings (this includes vaping). Smoking is not permitted in any of the halls of residences or university owned or managed buildings. If you would like to know where the smoking zones are close to your hall, please chat to your reception team and/or try to ensure you are away from bedroom or campus office windows.

Smoking in hall is a breach of your licence agreement and could jeopardise future residency, so please make sure you always leave the hall if you would like to smoke or vape.

If you are aware that another resident of a guest is smoking, chat to them and remind them of the rule. If there are any questions or concerns, chat to your hall Resident Assistant team or raise an enquiry with our team.
