To be fair to our students, we have rules that stipulate how many failed credits can be carried into the next level of your studies.
If you have more than 30 credits of failure (after resits), you'll stay at the same stage of study the following year to repeat those modules (for example, if you were in your second year you would stay in the second year the following year to repeat the failed modules, rather than progressing to your third year). If you have 30 credits of failure or fewer, the exam board may allow you to continue onto your next year of study. If a decision is made to progress you to the next level of your studies, you would be required to carry and re-take any failed module(s).
