If you need to take a leave of absence, we recommend speaking with the Research & Enterprise Training Institute in the first instance to find out what form you will need to complete, i.e. annual leave or an authorised absence form. It may also be important for them to discuss whether an interruption of studies is more appropriate, depending on how much time you need to take.

If you are studying with us on a Student Visa, you will need to be aware of certain restrictions that will apply as to how much absence you are able to take. Under UKVI restrictions and the conditions of your Student Visa Sponsorship, you can only be 'away' from your studies or non-engaged for a period of up to 60 days. Anything beyond this, or if you are not able to re-engage after this point, means that we must unfortunately withdraw your sponsorship. If you are also requesting to take annual leave during this time, this will also count towards the maximum limit under UKVI. Depending on your circumstances, if you feel you will need longer than this, you may need to interrupt your studies.

If you have any concerns please create an enquiry and a member of the team will be happy to help.
