If your BRP has not arrived, please check that your address is the same as when you made the visa application. If you have changed your address, you need to report it to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) using this online form, or print off and fill in this form and post it to the address specified on the form.
If your address hasn't changed and your BRP has not arrived within 10 days of getting your decision email or letter, please track the delivery of your BRP on the Royal Mail tracking website.
You can contact Royal Mail if you need help with your delivery, either by telephone on 03452 680 234 or by filling out this Royal Mail contact form.
If Royal Mail tries to deliver your BRP but is unable to, they’ll leave you a card with instructions on it. You must follow the instructions and either 1) collect your BRP from your local Royal Mail delivery office, or 2) arrange redelivery. You must either collect your BRP or rearrange delivery within 18 days, or your BRP will be returned to UKVI.
You’ll need to tell UKVI that your BRP has not arrived if:
you do not have a Royal Mail tracking number
Royal Mail is unable to help with your delivery question
it’s been more than 21 days since you missed the delivery of your BRP
Please follow the instructions in the final section of this webpage.
If you need help contacting UKVI, please reach out to the International Student Advice Service for help by raising an enquiry.
Please note that UKVI are phasing out BRPs by the end of 2024. This means they will all list a 'valid until' date of 31 December 2024, but the actual visa expiry date may be later than this. You will be required to create an online account in order to demonstrate your immigration status via an eVisa. Click here for more information and instructions on how to create an online account to access your eVisa.
