OTJ hours is the time you spend learning new areas as an apprentice and they map the Apprenticeship Standard. You need to complete a minimum number of 278 OTJ hours per practical year, at six hours per week. The exact amount is confirmed in your Commitment Statement or Training Plan when you start your apprenticeship.
