You can submit an academic appeal within 14 calendar days from the date you received the outcome of the decision that you want to appeal.

 

If you’re on a taught programme, you can appeal:

  • the outcome of an Extenuating Circumstances claim

  • a Progression and Award Board decision (your results)

  • an Academic Offences Panel decision

If you have attended an Academic Offences Interview, check your email for information on how to appeal. 

 

If you're a Postgraduate Research student, you can appeal:

  • a Faculty Research Degrees Committee decision to discontinue registration

  • the outcome of an upheld allegation of research misconduct

  • the outcome of a transfer viva

  • the outcome of a transfer assessment from the taught to the research phase of the Professional Doctorate

  • the outcome of a formal oral examination for a final award
