Applying for the next academic year

We open applications and bookings for current students in February, keep a check on your emails for further information including what to do if you have a special housing requirement or would like to live with a group of friends. The team will also add further information into your knowledge base about the process for current students, including important dates and contact information. We will also have outreach in your hall / on your campus, so you can ask any questions you might have about next steps.

When you make your application then you will be able to book your room at the same time. Your booking is completed after you have signed your licence agreement and paid your deposit. If there are no rooms available then you will be able to regularly check availability and book in when a room becomes available for you.

Applying to move in now

If you have applied now or during the academic year and are on a waiting list, then a member of the team will send you an offer of accommodation as soon as a space is available for you. We understand that it will be disappointing if there is no space available but it is important you make sure you have a place to stay before arriving at the university, so if you have not made a booking or had an offer before you come to the University, please book a hotel or hostel so you have a place to stay. Reach out to the team or chat to your Student Union if you need any support or advice about moving into accommodation in a private rental, off campus.

You can check availability as often as you would like to and see what is available.

Room transfer request

If you made a room transfer request then a member of the team will update you as soon as a room is available for you, they will also regularly check in with you to see if you would like to remain on the transfer list. So please check your emails regularly.

If you are having any difficulties in your current room, raise an enquiry or make an appointment to chat to the team or you can chat to your resident assistant. The team will help support you to feel comfortable in your accommodation while you wait for your transfer.
