If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health emergency and cannot keep themselves safe from harm, ring 999 to speak directly with emergency services.
You can also go to your local hospital Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.
If it is not a mental health emergency but you still need urgent help, ring 111 for professional health advice. This is an NHS service and they can tell you how to access the appropriate support services.
Both of these numbers are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
You can also make an urgent appointment with your GP for mental health help or contact your local NHS Crisis Service.
