If you have signed a licence agreement and confirmed a room move in January then you will need to take the following steps;

  • Complete online check out for your current room
  • Completed online check in for your new room (this must be on or after the move in date. But remember, if you move in later then you must make sure your current room is empty on your move out date, so it can be prepared for a new student).
  • Read the departure and arrival emails and ask the Accommodation Team or your RA, if you have any questions.
  • Make sure your current room is clear, clean, empty and locked by midday on your move date. If you are going away for Christmas and will not be back on your move day, then you must empty your room when you leave for christmas break and return your keys.
  • Go to your new hall or your current hall reception, to collect your keys. If you need to, you can keep both sets of keys until the end of the day, while you move your possessions
  • Make sure you return your keys for the old room and you have remembered to take everything from your kitchen
  • Settle into your new room and get to know your new flatmates. If you would like a tour of your new hall or any support meeting your new flatmates, chat to an RA or you can make an appointment to meet a mentor.
  • You can also connect with your new flatmates before arrival, via the information in my bookings.
  • Raise an enquiry if you have any questions and we look forward to meeting you in January

Please remember if you do not empty your current room by the move out date, then your move might be cancelled and you will have to stay in your current room until a new room becomes available for you.
