If you are a current resident in a university hall and you would like to extend your stay into the summer break, you can apply on your accommodation portal.
Priority for rooms will go to residents who make an application by end of January but if there are more applications than available rooms then the following priority groups will be offered before other residents;
- Students where hall is their permanent home and they are a care leaver or estranged student
- Students who cannot easily relocate to other housing for example, their room has been adapted to accommodate their specific needs and requirements
- Students who are studying over the summer break as there is no vacation period for their programme of studies or they have a final submission date for their work, at the end of the summer period
Most students will have to move to a new room for the summer period and unless you are in a flat specifically allocated for summer residents, you will need to move. Summer schools will be using the other parts of the building and campus housing.
