  • Are apprentices assigned a personal tutor?

    Yes - you will be assigned a personal tutor when you register onto your course.

  • Can I change my Personal Tutor?

    If in exceptional circumstances you feel it is necessary to change, please contact your Programme Leader.

  • Can I change my professional tutor group lead?

    Please contact your programme leader.

  • Will the university provide me with an employment reference?

    For an employment reference, you can request a student status letter or speak with you programme leader or personal tutor.

  • Can I get help completing my extenuating circumstances claim?

    The Student’s Union advice team will be able to help.

  • Can I get my results changed?

    Your faculty administrative team is your first point of contact if you need to highlight an error with your results.

  • Can I have an extension on my coursework deadline?

    You can apply for a 14-day extension if you qualify for extenuating circumstances.

  • Can I submit an appeal if I don't have any evidence?

    There are some circumstances in which we can uphold your appeal without evidence.

  • Can I submit evidence for my extenuating circumstances after I have submitted my claim?

    Yes, just make sure you don't miss the deadline to submit your claim because you are waiting for evidence.

  • Is support available to help me with maths?

    Online and in-person teaching support is available to any student struggling with maths.

  • How can I meet with academic staff on my programme?

    You can view the office availability of academic staff on Moodle.

  • How can I query my grade?

    Create an enquiry in the Digital Student Centre.

  • How do I change from full-time to part-time study?

    Please contact your course tutor by logging an enquiry in the Digital Student Centre.

  • How do I change from part-time to full-time study?

    Please contact your course tutor by logging an enquiry in the Digital Student Centre.

  • How do I change my programme?

    You need the approval of your current programme leader and the programme leader of the programme you wish to transfer to.

  • How do I enrol on my optional modules for next year?

    You will be asked to select any optional modules for the following year in mid-February.

  • How do I get a reference when no longer studying here?

    Even past students can easily request a reference online.

  • How do I know who my personal tutor is?

    You will be allocated a personal tutor shortly after registration in Year 1.

  • I am a Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences student. What happens if I don't get on with my placement mentor?

    It depends on your course. Social work: please raise any concerns with your university placement tutor.

  • I am a student at Greenwich Business School. How can I find a placement?

    Please contact the employability team as they will be able to provide support with this.

  • I am a student at the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. How can I find a placement?

    It depends on your course. Social work: placements are organised by the placement lead.

  • I am a student at the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. How can I find a placement?

    Please contact the employability team as they will be able to provide support with this.

  • I can't find the email you sent me with the decision regarding my claim for extenuating circumstances. What should I do?

    Raise a query with us and we will look into it.

  • Where can I find academic support for my assignment?

    If you cannot find help in your assignment brief or module handbook, please visit our academic skills support pages.

  • What can I do if I feel I’m falling behind with my work?

    If you feel you're falling behind with your work, please don't wait to seek support from tutors, module leaders, and university services.

  • I have lost my placement name badge (Nursing) and need to order a new one. How can I do this?

    If you have lost your placement name badge, please create an enquiry through the Digital Student Centre.

  • I want to travel overseas for two weeks. What do I do?

    You’ll need to submit an Authorised Absence Form.

  • I’ve been marked absent even though I scanned the QR code. Can you update my attendance?

    We are unable to do this, so be careful to register before you leave class.

  • Is there extra support for writing dissertations and formal essays?

    We offer a range of support for students during their studies.

  • What can I do if my programme leader has not replied to my emails?

    Your faculty administration teams can help you reach your programme leader.

  • What do I do if I have a question about an online module?

    Raise a query with us and we will look into it.

    You'll need to ask your module leader for help if you can't find the link to submit work online.

  • Who can I speak with if I have a question about my grades?

    Faculty staff can advise on grade queries.

  • Who can help me find missing modules from my timetable as a Study Abroad student?

    Please contact your programme administration team via Moodle, or create an enquiry in the Digital Student Centre for support with timetable queries.

  • Who is my programme leader?

    You can find details of your programme leader in your course handbook, or by checking the instructors you're linked with in the Digital Student Centre.

  • Why am I unable to submit another short term absence?

    You can request short term absence for three consecutive days

  • Are past exam papers available to help me revise?

    Most past exam papers are available in the My Learning section of your portal.
